Description
The V 70 SE plays Rock-and-Roll like Rock-and- Roll and celebrates Classical music with delicate grace and solid expanse. Listening to music becomes an absolute pleasure.
Like the V 40 SE the V 70 SE benefits from the experience OCTAVE gained developing his predecessors. Numerous improvements over the previous V 70 model form the new V 70 SE. Embedded in the larger optimized chassis construction of the V 80 the V 70 SE now offers higher performance while the sensitive electronic circuits are better shielded against the magnetic stray field of the transformer and the mains. The mains transformer itself is a special low-noise type encapsulated in a magnetic closed box.
The Output Stage consists of two power Tetrodes (Type 6550 JJ) per each channel. Due to the BIAS Control and Monitoring System the use of other pin-compatible output tubes is possible to match the amplifier to personal taste or to benefit from new or improved tubes.
The V 70 SE as all OCTAVE amps is based on the enhanced pentode configuration. This configuration ensures the absolute stability of the amplifier against the unstable impedance of the speaker. Impedance mismatch is without consequence as the amplifier is stable down to a 2 ohms load. An important contribution to this stability is the Single Impedance Output Transformer.
OPTIONS
Super Black Box
The Super Black Box is a passive power supply extension designed for all Octave integrated and power amplifiers. Due to the massively increased storage capacity of the power supply the pulse power of the power amplifiers is significantly increased. What is also very important is the increased independence from the electrical load – the loudspeaker. A big sonic benefit not just for sophisticated speakers.
Black Box
The Black Box is a smaller version of the Super Black Box with the same concept. It contains a circuit with electrolytic capacitors that increases the internal power supply of the amplifier and stabilizes it against mains fluctuations. Low-frequency network interference is perfectly suppressed. The black box has its own housing and is permanently connected to the amplifier using a special high-current connector.
Phono MM oder MC
There are two phono boards to choose from an MC or MM board. The additional board is internally connected to the phono input which is then no longer available as a high level input.
