A special distinction for the TD 404 DD: THORENS direct-drive turntable has been awarded “EISA Premium Turntable 2026–2027” by the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).

EISA brings together international specialist magazines and experts from the world of consumer electronics. Each year, it recognizes products that particularly impress the jury in their respective categories.

For the TD 404 DD, EISA particularly highlights the combination of a precision direct-drive system and high-quality construction. The electronically controlled 12-pole motor, also used in the TD 124 DD, works together with the damped aluminium platter to ensure excellent speed stability. Further highlights include the magnetically stabilized TP 160 tonearm and the exceptionally quiet electronic tonearm lift.

The TD 404 DD also received particular recognition from the international jury for its sound performance. In its assessment, EISA highlights, among other qualities, its immediate and lively presentation as well as its powerful and precisely defined bass.
