2026 Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show Report | HMS Cables Make a Refreshing Debut at S429

The just-concluded Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show saw Richcoln not only bringing top-tier demonstration systems to Room S427 and the Hall 3 F01 booth, but also carefully creating a “refreshingly new” listening space in Meeting Room S429 on the 4th floor, which became a major focus of attention for many audiophiles.

In April this year, Richcoln officially announced its appointment as the exclusive distributor for the Netherlands-based premium audio power and cable brand HMS Elektronik in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. This Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show marked the first official public appearance of the HMS brand at a local audio exhibition since Richcoln acquired the distribution rights.

Inside the S429 demo room, three meticulously arranged glass display cabinets showcased the craftsmanship details and design aesthetics of multiple HMS cable series. The display lineup covered several important series across the HMS product range, including the flagship Suprema MC2 series, the Gran Finale 50 series launched to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary, the precision-oriented Concertato series, and the Armonia Carbon series featuring carbon-fibre shielding technology. From power cords, interconnect cables, and speaker cables to tonearm cables, each series was neatly arranged in the glass cabinets, allowing visitors to appreciate up close the exquisite metallurgical craftsmanship and unique structural designs of this Dutch top-tier cable brand.

If the static displays in the glass cabinets offered a visual presentation of HMS’s craftsmanship, the dynamic demonstration system in S429 served as the ultimate testament to HMS’s sonic capabilities. The demo system featured newly introduced Italian brand Unison Research – a full matching set of hybrid tube-transistor pre/power amplifiers released this spring, making their first public debut and live demonstration at the show. Paired with them was another newly represented Italian loudspeaker brand, Opera, using a brand-new Special Edition model from the flagship Callas series – never before seen in Hong Kong. Connecting this all-Italian system throughout was the newly acquired Dutch cable brand HMS.

HMS cables have long earned high recognition in the industry for their technical prowess, with their superb metallurgy and unique shielding technologies drawing keen interest from audiophiles. In the S429 demonstration system, HMS cables handled every link from signal transmission to loudspeaker connection, allowing the Italian hybrid tube-transistor pre/power amplifiers and Opera flagship speakers to fully unleash their potential, delivering a refreshing and captivating listening experience for all on-site visitors. For audiophiles eager to experience the perfect fusion of Dutch top-tier cable craftsmanship and the enchanting Italian sonic character, S429 was undoubtedly an unmissable stop at this year’s show.
