Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show 2016

Date: 2016-8-10

The High-End AV Show 2016 that took place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 5th to 7th August has ended in great success. As usual, Richcoln's main exhibition hall was S427 on 4th floor, where only the most eye-catching products were on display and demonstration.

The system used for demonstration comprised Burmester electronics, PMC MB2 Deluxe monitor speakers and Acoustic Signature's massive 350kg Invictus turntable with its partnering TA-9000 tonearm. Two to three demo sessions of vinyl playback each day were hosted by Mr. Zhong Yi, an authoritative reviewer, analogue audio specialist.

PMC's "twenty5" series of loudspeakers, which marks its 25th anniversary, underwent its Asian premiere. A pair of "twenty5.24 floor-standers were demonstrated in Booth X07 on 3rd floor. This new product range features a vent known as "Laminair" at the terminal of the Advanced Transmission Line (ATL®) to optimize airflow within the speaker enclosure. Other exhibits in the same booth were some new multi-media streaming players and headphone amplifiers. Peter Madnick, the Audio Alchemy CEO, presented two of his new products, namely PPA-1 MM/MC phono amplifier and DMP-1 media player.

During the AV Show our exhibition hall was rated one of the three best sounding rooms, which we consider encouraging.
